Allergology and Clinical Immunology
Why is it important to visit an allergologist or immunologist in order to get an effective and appropriate treatment?
Research has shown that the treatment prescribed by an allergologist or immunologist offers better, less expensive results because it prevents frequent trips to the emergency room or hospitalization, it shortens the patient’s stay in the hospital and allows him or her to avoid missing several work or school days. Such treatment ensures a higher productivity at the work place, better academic results, and improves the patient’s overall quality of life.
Illnesses: asthma, recurrent wheezing, rhinitis and allergic rhinoconjuctivititis, topic dermatitis, severe anaphylaxis, allergy to bee or wasp stings, food allergy, medication allergy, vasculitis, rheumatoid polyarthritis, Lupus disease, dermatopolymyositis, scleroderma disease, other immune system disorders

Our patients can call to take appointments for consultations, tonal audiometry, auricular rinsing procedures, auricular and nasal culture, insertions of anti inflammatory and anesthetic substances, extraction of the middle ear fluid, incisions of the phlegmon of the tonsils.
Ophthalmology
Regular and complete opthalmological examinations are essential primary medical services because many ocular disorders are asymptomatic. At the same time, many employees must undergo such tests required by occupational medicine.
Early testing helps detect and identify medical conditions that may lead to potential loss of sight, ocular manifestations of systemic disorders or signs of an existing tumor or other cerebral abnormalities.
A complete medical evaluation consists of an external examination of the ocular globe, visual acuity testing, the correct functions of the pupil and visual field testing, intraocular pressure testing and the examination of ocular structures through the dilated pupil.
Homeopathy
The word homeopathy is derived from the Greek word "homeo", meaning like or similar and "pathos" meaning disease or suffering.
The presumed founder of this therapeutic method is Hypocrites. He was the one to first formulate the guiding principles of homeopathy. After his death, his pupil Gallenus began to neglect homeopathy concentrating instead on allopathy. Thus, allopathy became the most popular and widely used therapeutic method at the time. In 1784, the German doctor Samuel Hahemann rediscovered homeopathy and developed its principles, which allowed him to promote and reinstate it as a well-known alternative therapeutic method often employed in the medical field.
Since then, homeopathy has had a special attention from scientists and researchers interested in this field. This specialty has been developed and perfected and today is included in the curriculum of higher learning institutions around the world. Homeopathy is an officially recognized and accredited therapeutic method, well known in our country as well as in the entire world. In this context, in countries such as England, France, Holland, Italy, USA and Canada there are homeopathic hospitals and clinics, research institutes and homeopathic universities.
In the past 10 years, the continuous research and achievements of well-renowned institutions in the world have led to the world-wide recognition of homeopathy as a clinically-proven, scientific medical field.
Together with allopathy, homeopathy is presently the second therapeutic method of choice used by an increasing number of doctors and patients all over the world.
Homeopathy is based on the underlying principle that “like shall be cured by like”, or Similia similibus curantur. This principle implies that the proper remedy for a patient's disease is the substance that is capable of producing in a healthy person, symptoms similar to those from which the patient suffers. To shed light upon this explanation, here is a concrete example.
Allopathy uses medication that acts against the treated illness. For instance, if a patient suffers from heartburns caused by an excess of acid secretion he will be given anti-acidic allopathic medication. If a patient has a high fever due to infection, he will be given an antibiotic that kills the microbes causing the infection and thus, eliminates the fever.
On the other hand, homeopathy employs medication that, if administered in large quantities (milligrams or grams) will produce the disease that will otherwise be cured by using very small doses of the same medication. The logical explanation behind this phenomenon is that homeopathic remedies stimulate the natural functions of the human body by forcing them to perform their normal tasks and therefore, to allow the body to heal itself and eliminate the cause of the illness in question.
Let’s take the previously mentioned examples of illness. For example, in the case of heartburns the homeopathic medication will trigger a natural decrease in the secretion of gastric acid to eliminate the unpleasant symptoms. In the case of the high fever caused by infection, the homeopathic remedy will stimulate the immune system which will efficiently work against the microbes and viruses that have caused the infection to begin with.
